Samsung groups up with NAVER for hyperscale AI semiconductors

Samsung Electronics and web firm NAVER Company have introduced a collaboration to develop semiconductor options tailor-made for hyperscale synthetic intelligence (AI) fashions. 

Leveraging Samsung’s next-generation reminiscence applied sciences, the businesses intend to mix {hardware} and software program sources to speed up the dealing with of large AI workloads.

Latest advances in hyperscale AI have led to an exponential development in information volumes that must be processed, says Samsung. Nevertheless, the efficiency and effectivity limitations of present computing methods pose important challenges in assembly these heavy computational necessities, fueling the necessity for brand spanking new AI-optimised semiconductor options.

Creating such options requires an in depth convergence of semiconductor and AI disciplines. Samsung is combining its semiconductor design and manufacturing experience with NAVER’s expertise within the improvement and verification of AI algorithms and AI-driven providers to create options that considerably enhance the efficiency and energy effectivity of large-scale AI.
